Phoebus Software: Creating a next-generation platform to enhance UX and UI design
PSL engaged TXP to develop Phoebus 2.0—a next-generation version of its servicing platform. The goal was to significantly enhance the user experience for PSL’s clients, modernise the interface, and ensure the platform remained scalable and adaptable to future needs.
The Client
Phoebus Software Limited (PSL) provides a modular, multi-currency loan and savings servicing platform used by banks, building societies, specialist lenders, and third-party servicers. The platform supports a wide range of financial products and services, including residential and commercial mortgages, specialist finance, savings, mortgage self-service, migration, and securitisation.
The Challenge
- A legacy interface that no longer met modern usability expectations.
- A need to improve the user experience across a diverse client base.
- Desire to future-proof the platform for innovation and growth.
- Requirement to maintain robust functionality across multiple financial products.
- Select companies had to undergo a competitive RFP proves to ensure that they could develop highly configurable, browser-based solution and seamless presentation of appropriate data and predict business processes using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
The Solution
TXP partnered with PSL to design and build Phoebus 2.0, placing user experience at the heart of the transformation. The new platform was developed with a modern, intuitive interface that simplifies navigation and improves usability, while retaining the depth and flexibility of the original system.
TXP worked closely with PSL’s internal teams to ensure the solution aligned with business goals and technical requirements. The modular architecture was enhanced to support scalability and seamless integration with future services, ensuring the platform could evolve alongside PSL’s growing client base.
TXP was the best partner for this engagement due to its stunning reference engagements and the overall commercials. Phoebus had included several other software houses in the competitive RFP process. TXP stood out through its desire to collaborative on an end-to-end solution versus the “body shopping” proposal of some other houses.
