Rapid SSD Update Across 2,000 Sites for National Bakery Chain
TXP managed the full coordination and execution of an SSD imaging upgrade across 2,000 tills. This included site scheduling, sign-offs, daily reporting, logistics, WEEE disposal, and in-house drive imaging. The project was delivered in just three weeks using a team of 38 engineers.
The Client
Our client is a manufacturer and developer of POS and Kiosk equipment. The end client in this project is a major UK high street bakery chain.
The Challenge
- Limited supply of blank SSDs required tight coordination across all parties.
- Imaging process issues demanded rigorous testing and troubleshooting pre-deployment.
- Compressed timeline with high deployment volume across multiple regions.
The Solution
TXP led the project from scoping to delivery. We ran three weekly touchpoint calls with the end client to manage progress and resolve issues. A flexible resource plan was deployed to maximise efficiency. We partnered with an external logistics provider for drive imaging and post-project WEEE disposal. TXP handled all scheduling, sign-offs, and daily MI reporting.
βThe speed of enquiry to planning to execution of the rollout was fantastic, along with the continues updated on progress.β
The Benefits
- Project delivered on time despite supply and technical challenges.
- Deployment momentum maintained by concentrating resources in high-density areas.
- Daily reporting and structured communication gave the client full visibility throughout.
- Minimal disruption to operations thanks to efficient scheduling and onsite coordination.
- High CSQ scores from both stakeholders reflect strong satisfaction with delivery.
- Strengthened client confidence, increasing likelihood of future project engagement.
