Parkinson’s Pioneers announces TXP as its first principal kit sponsor

Multi-year sponsorship to support the first and only all-women Parkinson’s football team

Birmingham, February 17th 2026 – TXP, the systems integrator specialising in tech consulting, development and resourcing, today announced it is sponsoring Parkinson’s Pioneers, a Solihull-based Walking Football Community for women with Parkinson’s Disease. As part of the multi-year deal, TXP will become the principal kit sponsor and will donate funds to provide all players, staff and close-knit fans of Parkinson’s Pioneers with full playing kit and tracksuits. In addition, the sponsorship also extends to TXP providing a full kit to the England Women’s Parkinson’s team.

Parkinson’s Pioneers is the first and only all-women Parkinson’s football team in the world. Its mission is to lead the way for greater inclusion in sport by breaking down barriers to participation and challenge stereotypes around Parkinson’s. Its work helps to improve the physical health, confidence and wellbeing of Parkinson’s sufferers, while also raising awareness of the condition in women, which is underrepresented in diagnosis, treatment options and clinical studies.

“TXP’s sponsorship means the world to everyone involved with Parkinson’s Pioneers,” commented Gemma Darvill, Parkinson’s Pioneers and England Women’s Parkinson’s Manager. “Our aim is to show that a Parkinson’s diagnosis isn’t the end of an active or competitive life, and to build a community and support network for women living with the condition. Kit sponsorship gives the team a sense of identity, pride and professionalism, while also removing financial barriers that may prevent individuals getting actively involved.”

As part of the sponsorship, TXP employees will also have the opportunity to provide volunteering support to Parkinson’s Pioneers throughout the year. This will include providing match day support and helping to organise showcase events that will raise the profile of women’s Parkinson’s football nationally.

The sponsorship is TXP’s flagship charitable initiative and sits at the heart of TXP’s commitment to ESG, with a particular focus on local charities, foundations and worthy causes in the West Midlands. Through such initiatives, TXP aims to support positive social change in the region and give its employees the opportunity to raise awareness and champion social issues that matter to them.

“At TXP, we believe being a ‘local business’ goes beyond simply having a presence in the area. It carries a commitment to inclusion, partnership and making a positive social impact,” added John Antunes, CEO of TXP. “We chose to support Parkinson’s Pioneers because they are a charity based in our community in Solihull with a mission that closely resonates with TXP’s values of adaptability and ambition. We look forward to providing a promotional platform for such a worthy cause to foster greater awareness and a wider collective understanding of women’s experience of Parkinson’s.”
